This smooth single malt Irish whiskey is triple distilled and matured in bourbon casks giving it a rich and full-bodied flavour.
When Vikings first settled in the Emerald Isle, they named their kingdom Dyfin, meaning “black pool”. Standing on Ireland’s east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey, this kingdom endured and evolved into Dublin – the spirited capital of Ireland we know today. Renowned for its many decorative bridges, this vibrant city is a key destination for all Irish whiskey lovers. Dyfin single malt Irish whiskey has a traditional rich smooth and full bodied flavour derived from its triple distillation and maturation in bourbon casks.
Nose. Icing sugar freshly dusted on a warm lemon tart, lots of melted butter with some stewed cooking apples, touch of vanilla. doesn’t need water but adding a drop makes it a little too soft for me.
Palate. Vanilla and All Spice, little bit of cinnamon and, I think, some nutmeg, honey and more lemon but lemon sherbet sweets this time.
Finish. Vanilla and toffee with a touch of whatever a hybrid of a lemon and an apple would be.
