Tasting Notes from the Distiller

Nose: Orchard fruits, think stewed apples and pears. Cereal, hints of crushed digestive biscuits and porridge.

Notes: Toffee, honey and beeswax. A waft of rich fruit cake.

Palate: Creamy mouth feel, the cereal comes through along with the toffee and honey. Again, orchard fruits. Sweet, spicy and oaky. A very long malty, dry finish.

About English Whisky Co

Hand crafted in England’s only traditional whisky distillery. St George’s Distillery sits on the bank of the River Thet in the county of Norfolk. Below ground is a chalk aquifer giving a supply of cold, crystal clear pure water. The county of Norfolk produces some of the world’s finest malting barely. Our climate is warmer and drier than our Scottish neighbours, helping our whisky to mature. This is the perfect location to craft fine whiskies.

For the Connoisseur and Collector. We produce the “chapters” which are limited runs of special whiskies produced from different malts and matured in unique oak casks some of which have previously matured other drinks such as Bourbon, Sherry, Port, Rum, Maderia, Muscatel & Sauterne.

We also operate the only Solera in England which matures the unique St George’s Pedro Ximenez, a rich sherry that we have fortified with English Whisky.
