From a 180 year old distillery deep in the mountainous Scottish highlands, this complex malt is made with the finest barley and pure local spring water, then left to mature in traditional dunnage warehouses in ex-bourbon asks for a minimum of 16 years. This is a limited edition bottling exclusively for Waitrose.
The tall, large copper stills allow for a full flavoured malt, and maturation in hogheads add vanilla overtones and a gentle fruitiness to this full-bodied Highland Whisky.
Nose: Enticing, with banana, vanilla, citrus peel and toasted oak.
Palate: Caressing, complex and rounded with herbal notes, flavours of green apples and salted caramel.
Finish: Complex and long with notes of coffee.
