At Benromach, Speyside’s smallest working distillery, just two experienced distillers hand-craft our whisky using the finest Scottish barely and the purest spring water from the nearly Romach Hills.
Left to mature in a mix of Bourbon and Sherry casks, this whisky is only bottled when it has reached out highest quality standards. The result is a rich, mellow Single Malt with fruity and malty tones, balanced with a hint of smoke.
This Benromach Traditional Strength comes from First fill casks – 80% Bourbon and 20% Sherry which gives a this whisky a straw yellow colour with a slightly sweet with a hint of smoke and malt finish. The aroma is of citrus fruits (lemons and limes) with a hint of honey and pine resin. Peaty and malt notes in the background. The taste is smoky with cereal and malt flavours. Dries up with spicy/peppery notes followed by a delicate floral edge.
